Case Information: Plaintiff and defendant were operating their respective automobiles in opposite directions. As the parties approached each other, defendant driver crossed the center line and struck plaintiff's vehicle head-on. Plaintiff was trapped in the back seat as gasoline was leaking out of the car. Defendant driver was uninsured. MAIF paid $20,000 and the case proceeded to trial against Defendant State Farm Insurance, the underinsured carrier.
